Guidelines for Uploading Your Project’s Audio Files

To ensure a smooth and efficient mix process, please follow the instructions below when preparing your session for upload:

1. General Export Notes
No Clipping: Make sure no tracks are clipping. Leave some headroom (around -3 to -6 dBFS is ideal).
File Format: Export all audio as .wav files at either 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz sample rate. Do not upsample or downsample — just use the native sample rate of your session.

Bit Depth: Export at 24-bit or higher, if possible.

2. Track Naming & Organization
Name each file clearly and descriptively (e.g., LeadVocal_Main.wav, Kick_In.wav, Guitar_Lead_L.wav, BGV_Harmony_1.wav).
Avoid vague names like Audio_01.wav or Track_05.wav.

3. Processing
In general, export tracks without unnecessary effects or processing (like EQ, compression, or reverb).
If a track uses creative effects that are essential to the sound, you have two options: Export the track with the effect printed, or
Send two versions: One dry (unprocessed) version
One wet (100% effect-only) version

4. Timing & Alignment Export all tracks so they start from the same point in the timeline, even if the audio doesn’t begin right away (usually from bar 1 or timecode 00:00:00).
This ensures everything lines up correctly when imported into a new session.
Include a rough mix or reference track if you have one—this helps me hear your intent.
